Hi,

I have a Ex STP, 72 Clubman GT and I’m looking for any pictures of information anyone has on them.

I’ve searched and searched and searched and I can’t find anything regarding any service Clubman GT’s or pics of the interior or accessories that were used.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

There were only 108 purchased for the police force which helps explain why there is very very little info.
I have an Ex police clubman GT with original motor. being restored at the moment.

I believe GTO green has already supplied you with pictures of my car (blue)
I have a build thread here somewhere, but i think pics have disapeared as I used photobucket.

Would love to see some pics of yours.

Brenton

Brenton - the last post in your other thread was almost three years ago. Is the body back from the panel shop? What state is the car in now?

Some new entries with pics in that original thread would be good.

Tha is for the responses.
gtogreen1969 - your emails have been invaluable, thank you.

Brenton, I’ll have to get a build thread started and I’ll get into yours over the coming days

I’m still trying to find some pictures of the cars whilst in service, with things like the radios, calibrated speedo and what not. There is very little known pictures that I can actually find.

Good luck finding internal pictures. I've been searching and asking for over a decade but it seems the cost and hassle of photography back then meant very few were taken, if any.

We know the calibrated speedo was a Stewart Warner model 540 mounted above the steering column, and the two-way radio was an AWA 25-M mounted under the parcel shelf on the passenger side.

If it helps, here's some interior footage of the Mark 1 Cooper S showing the SW speedo.

Thanks winabbey. That link is great.

Knowing they used the same AWA and SW speedo makes my life a bit easier.

I think I’ll give up on loooking for a grifco or sekomac for a while.

Cheers.

Hahaha.. I wish Doug.

The body is probably a bit over half done and I havn't heard from him in a while.

I think I need to start making him get a move on

I have some pics somewhere of the progress on the body so far. Will have to update in near future

Oh ok. Thanks TIm, wasnt aware of that. I had started using flickr instead. But might go back to photobucket

edit: Just did some research and appears only free for a certain time and long term a fee will need to be paid. I will continue to use Flickr I think.
