Hey guys,
This is probably a really silly question but is the 1275 block different to the 1100 block? Looking at a clubman with an 1100 in it and wondering if it's possible to bore/stroke to a 1275 or is this just silly?

Apologies for my ignorance

Yep different block. The 1100 and 998 are the same block.

Thanks, a pity though. Everything else about the car is spot on. Could always do an engine swap I guess. Thanks for the info

I Think an 1100 can be made a beast now in the hands of the right person. An 1100 could beat a standard Cooper S after the bore work head etc.

Wow that'd be awesome and a lot less hassle!
