Hi guys, I just saw these adapters on MED's site. You can use your pot joint outputs and run the hardy spicer drive shafts. Has anyone used them? http://www.med-engineering.co.uk/produc ... r-adaptors Cheers |

And for those that don't know, Hardy Spicer joints fit fine on 850/998/1098 Mini rubber joint driveshafts. I run a pair since damaging an S one where the wire circlip sits. |

I have slotted them in, and although only short term they were fine. ( my road motor with pot joints did a short stint in the sprints car ( hardy spicer). Literally plonk them on and away we went, and must of come off easily as well as i cant recall it, but the motor is sitting on a bench without the adpaters now. As i was doing an engine swap i cant tell you whether there would be any hassles doing in situ, but i would guess pop the top ball joints and plenty of swinging room |

I ditched the hardy spicers in favour of pot joints... |

Back in the 60s? There were similar ones here that fitted the old rubber joint diffs. I bought a 3 synchro box once that had a pair on. Don't know who made them, maybe were local? |

Yes Kev I got a second hand set out of a mini K at the local wreckers Pretty sure Quinton Hazel. Was late 70s I was breaking the rubber ones at an alarming rate but these were awesome. |

@ Ian_B Not Quinton Hazel ones that fit into the rubber couplings, I have used those. These ones looked like the flanges in the MED link above except they had a nut inside to hold them on the 850/998 diff output shaft. Used with Cooper S Hardy Spicer uni joint assembly. |
