This thread is perfect for a nidiot like me! Does anyone know if the mk1 indicator stalk bulb can be picked up at jaycar or similar or is a special type of bulb? Also my bonnet shuts this far. Well it shuts further then springs back to here. I’ve tried screwing in the striker pin but it’s not budging! Any thoughts for the day? (Trying to get some simple wins to make me feel better, the tilting mini problem is making me sad) |

the bonnet is a long way forward as well... there are some 7/16 nuts at the back of the bonnet hinges, just loosen them a little bit (so they still 'grip' the bonnet, but you can slide the bonnet back and forth if you push) and push the bonnet back a bit doing that might make it sit better |

Silly question time Are there any low-back seats that will bolt directly (no mods needed) into a Clubman? Not a big fan of the high-back jobbies. Cheers Simon |

Stibbsy wrote: Thanks for identifying the part. But where does it attach to?. It uses the right hand bolt that attaches the pedal box. In this photo the rubbing strip has shrunk and moved aside a little. When I touched it the black bit came off in my hand so I guess I'm going to need one of the MKO NOS parts posted earlier. The bit that came off appears to be rubber to me. Attachment: 21A349 Accelerator Pedal Stop.jpg gtogreen beat me to it. |

Seats fit the same in everything but the very last 1978 cars, but low back seats aren't legal to fit in something that came with high back seats.

Early seats had detachable restraints and were a bit less bulky than the later tombstone style. Some photos of them are in the interior trim section here: https://classicregister.com/id-guides/h ... clubman-gt |

Changed the oil filter on my 1098 today which is a work in progress, been running on and off for a few years. The oil was very thin in the filter and seemed to smell of fuel.... Can the oil be diluted at all from the fuel pump or something like that?? Thanks |

Thanks Yes, if you have a mechanical fuel pump the diaphragm can split and leak petrol into the sump Also if you filled the cylinders up with fuel it would make its way into the oil as well |
