heres a pic with the other problem I found.. the jet was sticking down and I saw that it was getting stuck on that bolt in the photo and not held at the top in the right position. ill know a bit about carbys after playing with this hahah

The worst thing about this sort of problem, is the time taken leaning over the engine. Watch your head on the bonnet latch and make sure you don't get any air leaks. The carb does look in tip top shape from the outer, ( once you get clearance from that nut) , so hopfully this will sort you out. And to fair to the spanner man or shop, murphy;s law would state : this is the sort of thing that gets stuck , not on the first 10 times they tested it in the shop, but on the 20th time after you had taken it home and hit a big bump in the road.

It was the jet pipe kink issue as well as that nut that would be why he had to shave the crap out of the needle. In my opinion he should have looked as to why it wouldn't run properly. He is the specialist. And went over his worst case $500 quote but still i have to fix it and spend more money.

You got ripped off there, Minisport has the reconditioned 1 1/2 for $350, I would demand at least a bit of a refund .
