I'm changing the spark plugs, engine is 1275 with twin 1.25 SUs and very mild cam, what is the consensus on the best spark plugs?

Champion N9Y or N9YC cooper core and you can still buy them.

One two many "o"s and one too few "p"s?

NGK BPR5ES these days.
Rumour has it resistor plugs give a hotter spark,
BP recommend 1 heat range hotter for unleaded fuel,
NGK plugs are made in Japan, not Mexico or elsewhere.

I previously had problems with plug fouling in the queue for the motorkhana where it idles for ages (maybe 15-30 minutes) and only has a 30 second or less run before waiting another 15-30 minutes in the queue. Is it worth going one heat range hotter (i.e. BP6ES)?

Not sure letting an A series idle for prolonged periods is such a good idea.
Less/insufficient splash lubrication for the bores/pistons at low engine speeds.
But waiting in a 'khan queue maybe no options, unless you push it along!

I was using a BP6ES and it fouls after idling for a while so now I am going to try a BPR4ES. My question is on my 1973 Clubman GT do I use 91 or 87 unleaded fuel or do I use a lead additive and which octane fuel rating? thanks

Use 95 or 98 fuel. Why are you jumping BP5 and going straight to BP4?

I think Guam would use the same octane rating as the US:
98 RON (AUS) is about the same as 93 AKI (US)
95 RON (AUS) is about the same as 91 AKI (US)

I am tired of buying plugs so I thought 4 should be better. The 6 lasted for a few months. Yes we have 87 and 91 AKI. No 93. Do I need to add a lead substitute? I have not been using one.
