Can anyone point me to where I may find a supply of 997cc pistons, both Mini Spares and Somerford no longer carry stock of the pistons only the rings. |

Then deck block a little to suit. Stroke isn't much less than 1098 is. I bored a 997 block to 68mm years ago they are pretty thick walls. |

Thank you for your responses - looks like I may be on the right path now. Just measured the engine and to my delight the bore and crank are both still standard, may require clean up maching though. |

Crack test the 997 crank they are well known to crack. At front or rear web. |

Mk1 sprite and cooper are almost the same one has captive nuts and one has bolts that go thru maybe the uk repro is sprite |
