Post subject:  7.5 disc brake
Hi guys,

I currently have 8.4 discs and am wanting to fit 10 inch wheels, does anyone have any feedback on the following conversion, quality, performance etc...

They've sold hundreds of them in the UK and I've never heard of any issues with them. It'd be worth checking your wheel bearings too, its a great time to change them if you have them all apart.

Mini spares have had quality problems recently with drive adapters, and (not included in this kit) the hubs. Better quality replacements were shipped to me foc.

Believe you can also have your 8.4s machined down without too much trouble...

Yeah I had read about machineing down the 8.4’s, I don’t have the equipment to do this though.

Don't you have to move the caliber as well, or do the original calipers then fit ?

It is possible to machine the vented 8.4" discs and use aftermarket 4 pot calipers to make 7.9" sets that fit under 10" wheels, but I don't see any point in doing it with solids.

Because the S drive flange and rotor's detail is different to 8.4s.
