JayDee also have this non-adhesive loom tape - https://jaydeeautocables.com.au/collections/tape

P.S. I incorrectly referenced vinwire instead of JayDee in my earlier post (now corrected).

Clubman used an open loom which was taped only every six inches or so. This is easy to maintain, open for fault finding or modification and looks quite good too (imho). While loom tape is great, I wouldn't get to wound up as the electrical tape when used in this manner and with the loom clips fitted to the minis hold it all together really well. I pulled an original loom to pieces for my current car, scrubbed the wiring and plugs and retaped in this manner a decade ago. It still looks great after this long time. It's when you want to wrap the loom entirely that electrical tape becomes really ugly and falls to pieces.

AWG 17 is ideal for loom wiring, with a bigger size ( smaller AWG number, maybe AWG13) only being needed if you want to operate huge bitumen melting head lights. Don't forget with large headlight wires that the negative black wires need to match the gauge of the headlight supply wires too.
