| Post subject: | 850 Rear Seat Squab |
Would anyone be able to help with a question on which way the metal bracket is supposed to be on the rear seat squab on an 850. I noticed on a drawing from a parts book that it is shown different to what I have on the seat from the car. As the seat was not in the car when we got and we are in the process of getting the upholstery done I was hoping someone could tell me if the photos of the existing seat is correct or not. Any photo of seat correct seat set up would be apprceciated. |

I wasn't aware there was a metal strip like that in the rear seat cushion. Learn something new every day. Hopefully an 850 knowledgeable member can answer your question. In the meantime and in case it helps below are the pages from the Australian parts book that document the first and second seat designs and the change points. the last pic has it the correct way, the edge cover is glued to the "flat part only" It "locks in" behind the lip on the back seat |
