I have 3 12G295 cylinder heads. I want to use one on my 1990 998 mini.
They all seem to be in good condition but have all been slightly skimmed.
Head 1 skimmed from 2.75 to 2.67.
Head 2 skimmed from 2.75 to 2.63.
Head 3 skimmed from 2.75 to 2.59.

Considering that 80 thou (2mm) is recommended, I would of thought head 1 would be the correct one to use on my 988?
Does this seem to be correct?
Thanks

Use the thickest one.
The concern with all these old small bore heads is deck thickness, they nearly all have corrosion inside after 50+ years and this thins them down.
If too thin they blow gaskets.

I totally agree. The 3rd head looks alarmingly thin already.
Cheers
