I have a 68 deluxe and a rover thermofan just bolted straight in without mods.

On the outer or inner side of the radiator?

Its fitted from in/under the front wheel arch. The rover shroud is shaped to clear any obstacles.
Its better than putting a fan straight on the radiator cause then it only cools the fins it touches and not the corners.

Have you got a heater fitted, or any hose connected to the drivers side on top of the head? Does the heater blow hot?

The Rover one is a good design http://www.minispares.com/product/Class ... o%20search

It might be also worth checking belt tension and making sure it's not slipping.

Has anyone used these? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/50mm-Alloy- ... :rk:3:pf:0

They look too cheap to be any good.

Good radiator, not sure about the fan... I used a 50mm one like that and it took a lot of work in modifying the fan shroud to move it closer to the engine and just squeeze it in with the shroud on the inner guard intact though. The 40mm ones are a much easier fit.
