This might be worth a visit...so long as it isn't just an excuse for Bimmer MINI marketeers to trade on the brilliant history and motorsport achievements of the Classic Mini.

Interesting. :)

A bit of a shame they didn't use a picture of an Australian Mini. :(

Just a further indication of how far divorced the marketeers are from reality or history...too lazy to do proper research, and its not the main game anyway (selling Bimmers is)...a little like the V8 Supercars paying lip service "homage" to the Armstrong 500 etc

For those who are Facebook users a group has been started covering the Mini component of this year's Motorclassica.

That profile pic (including my car) was taken in Healesville - right before a fantastic couple of days with Rauno Aaltonen

Fingers crossed he comes out again

You have to remember that these people in marketing are probably no older than 25 years of age.
They wouldn't know #*^+ from clay!.

This year’s other celebration classes promise to be just as engaging as our centenary classes. As Mini celebrates 60 years Motorclassica is excited to mark the milestone with 15 fabulous (and often unexpected) examples taking pride of place on the upstairs gallery. Not only can you expect to see a fair spread of Cooper S’s, but sharing the bill is a range of cars built on the Mini platform including Broadspeed, Buckle Monaco, Marcos and a couple of “high-end” interpretations by Riley and Wolseley.

60 YEARS – 60 MINIS
Motorclassica thrives on the work of its army of volunteers and this year we are particularly excited by the 60 Years – 60 Minis display at this year’s Club Sandwich. Curated by Rosie and Dan White, the 60th anniversary display represents a full timeline of the British marque in all its understated glory. What’s even more fun is the owners of the 60 Minis will display their cars in matching period outfits, from the swinging 60s through to the present day. It’s all about the Minis at this year’s Club Sandwich so be sure to join in the fun. Vintage costume optional!

Please don't encourage proliferation/complication...use the KISS principle :!:
