Hi All, Just a quick question, I have a driveway that is about 45 degree slope and was wondering if the mini engine will be ok to startup on that angle? I had an old land rover once that wouldn't start on certain slopes as the fuel would drain back out of the carby. Thanks |

Uphill is fine as the pickup in the fuel tank goes through to the rear of the tank. If you park it downhill with less than 1/5th of a tank the pickup pipe could suck air. Attachment: Internal filter mesh Mini fuel tank.jpg The engine oil pick up should be ok. I would not keep it running for very long at that angle though. |

just don't park it nose down, the fuel will drain out of the tank, through the carb and into the sump... bad news |

On that slope the one end of your mini is going to be about a meter and a hell higher than the other rend.. If you can stand there I'd be interested to hear how much oil is on the dipstick..... Cheers, Ian |
