It has become obvious that when ever a subject is raised which some people do not wish to answer then the subject is blocked - WHY!!!!!

I believed this forum was to promote free discussion of the subject of Mini, especially when the subject is in the interests of the community as a whole and the discussion is conducted in a professional manner without slander or back stabbing.

However this is not so for some people have the ability to close down a discussion when it suits. Not democratic.

John - the thread about gearbox extensions got way off topic, and continued despite a moderator suggesting no further posts be made (or at least any that were not on topic). You chose to post again about documentation so it was locked.

John - I'm referring above to the original gearbox remote housing thread, not the new subject. In the original Simon said "At this point I would like to suggest that we park this subject", after which you posted again, so it was locked.

Starting a new thread to discuss whatever you wish as you have done is appropriate and sensible, and won't confuse those who search later on gearbox remote housing.

....unfortunetaly if i wanted to reply or if someone else wanted to post relevant info on my extension housing post it is no longer possible because it became a pissing contest.

I 100% appreciate the info that was posted.- Very insightful & certainly interesting, but it went a bit far.
