Best try and find an ordinary 29D with Vacuum advance and rob bits from it. They are a dime a dozen.

What is the material of the 2 washers in question, brass? bronze? nylon? neoprene?. It would be good to know so I can search for replacements.

Tried Tony but no joy.

Mate, I have a heap of old dizzy's which I cannibalise for bits. Can supply you with some used nylon & brass washers if you're interested.
PM your address. No charge for postage.

Brilliant (AEG163job). Most of my problems solved. The nylon spacer is worn out.

Here is the a look at a good and bad inner spacer. Any one have a part number?

Wow mate. Never seen a nylon spacer mangled that much! Explains your excessive clearance problem I guess. :)

The BMC and Lucas Australia parts books for the 29D4 dizzy is a little vague but it looks like Lucas part 425834, or maybe 62140059. In some books the part is shown in the exploded diagram but not given a number. It seems it wasn't a serviceable part, which is a bit strange. Auto electricians from back in the day probably had the washer on the shelf.

Is there a reason you need to know the part number?

It would seem that other Mini dizzies will wear out some day and part numbers are always handy. Maybe you would put up the Lucas illustrations you have.

It's not that simple or I would've posted something already. Would probably take an hour or more to scan multi-page documents with diagrams and parts lists on separate pages, some of which are low resolution and hence difficult to read. The end result will be part numbers that I've already posted. It would be nice if there was one simple and clear diagram of a 29D4 non-vacuum advance distributor with all part numbers shown and every question answered, but there's not.

As an example, here's the BMC engineering drawing I have for the complete 29D4 range. A lot of the information is unreadable. Even blowing up the YDO6 (Cooper S) section doesn't help much.

Hi cooperess
Try to set your dizzy up to .003 clearance and the dizzy drive to the dizzy boss .005 tho clearance.
