Has anyone purchased a carpet from this ebayer and if so what was it like?

They say its for an 850 / S so I am not sure which model it suits

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CSA9002Z-MO ... Sw2zRcIv5P

Thanks

I have that one (or one very similar). I wouldn’t recommend any that aren’t moulded to suit the shape of the floor.

They don’t have any holes in them so you can cut them to suit any car

That's a very low price for a full carpet set so I wouldn't expect it to compare in quality and perhaps fit to the commonly available tailored ones that cost many hundreds of dollars. They say free postage too so that makes it even cheaper. Just depends on your needs really. If it wears out in a few years at least you won't be greatly out of pocket. ;)

Bought my carpet from No Bull Accessories in Queensland.
It is a moulded one with no holes in it so you can cut whatever you need.

Bought the eBay one for my mini k. It's cheap, not a surprise, but it suits my needs. It fits pretty well, Has cuts for around the back seat support and the handbrake, had to modify both with a sharp knife to fit properly, no biggie.
It's not edged, so I don't think it will last for a long time, but overall, for the price I am happy with it.

Hard to see in the photo, but it is ribbed carpet, a bit like outdoor/boat carpet. And it took the seller about a week to actually send it.

I used the All Car Carpets Westminster. The material and workmanship were good but they were not a very good fit. It took a fair bit of work to get them to where I was happy.

Since you acquired yours All Car Carpets have received the BMC engineering drawings for the Cooper S carpet so they should be making them to fit, although I've yet to see a finished set.

Thanks to both. I'll give them a go.

If you do go ahead I, and probably others on the forum, would be very interested to hear how it all goes.

Order placed for a charcoal set, plus I received the eBay 10% discount.

Suggest you talk to All Car Carpets directly to confirm they will be made using the BMC drawings so you won't have the fit issues cruiser23 mentioned above. ;)

Guys recently ordered and finally received (after over 6 weeks) the carpet set. Very disappointed, the colouring I received was not what I was expecting. (Green was very different from original samples I have and the colour I used in the restoration of the Hopkirk/Foley car) I have since spoken with David who makes the carpets and he has offered to re-make the carpets in the correct colours. At the time of the original post I was quite annoyed and disappointed and have altered the post to update the situation. The quality of the carpets was very good. I have offered to send David some samples of original material in an attempt to enable him to get his product closer to original. After speaking with him I was pleasantly surprised to see how accepting of criticism he was. Will keep you guys posted. G.
