Hi all,

a question for those in the know. when it comes time to replace my headlining, if i want to order one online from somewhere, can i pick a late model lining (for the larger rear pillars) ? or will it not fit my bars ?

what is actually different about the location or shape/size of the bars ?

my car is a Austin 68 model, late model is Rover 96-00 (both are import model in australia)

Thanks

Nick

Not quite sure what you are asking:
I bought a roof lining from Newton Commercial to fit Australian made models. The fitting instructions referred to the colours of the metal stays (bars) in order from front to rear but was not correct for the Australian roof. I ignored the instructions and fitted the stays in the same colour order they were removed. Everything fitted.

If you have a UK model then I would expect that Newton (and other makers) would make linings to fit the appropriate UK models.
I also thought the 'C' pillars were smaller and rear window larger in the Uk models from their mk2 onwards.

after reading an article on the newton website, seems that all headlining are the same, despite the coloured headlining bars from Mk3-7

Thanks for your help all :)
