I’ve got an 1100S engine that I’m putting together. It didn’t come with a fuel pump, just a hole where one should be. Today I tried fitting a Goss fuel pump that I had laying around. The bolt holes didn’t align. Do they run a machanical fuel pump, is there a special type for 1275’s. Alternatively is there a blanking plate to cover the hole where a fuel pump would normally be?

Cheers,
James.

they did run a mechanical pump, seems odd that the one you tried didn't fit up... assuming it fits on a 998/1098 block... I think there was a spacer required between the block and the pump but that shouldn't affect mounting bolt alignment

make a blanking plate out of a bit of scrap steel or aluminium
