As you can see someone's painted over the plate and then has sand blasted or sandpapered the paint off again removing the black sticker from the plate. Does anyone know if the id plate sticker is available?

Thanks all

The black section was printed/painted onto the plate originally. It wasn't a sticker. So there's no easy way to recreate it, other than perhaps making a template and carefully spraying. Do you have an artistic talent or know someone who does?

Some would say leave it alone as "modified" ID plates can raise concerns about its authenticity. Many plates have the black areas scratched or removed so you are not alone.

No there is no sticker available.

Mini shops sell reproduction blank ID plates however you would need to find someone with the correct font stamps or it will look like your trying to do something shonky.

I can't see anything wrong with yours. Its all part of the history. I would rather see a genuine ID plate without the black than a repro ID plate.

I think I will leave it the way it is as it could look to be modified if there was shiny new paint on a 52 year old plate,
Thanks anyway
