Can anyone tell me what a 22A 79 Primary gear fits ?
Interested in it fitting an 1100 engine, from what I see it should be a 22A1493 which should fit 850, 998 and 1098cc.

Thanks

Stewart.

Hi the gear that you have mentioned is not for a small bore eng. unsure what that gear fits as its not a manual type or a auto type.

According to ebay, 22A79 is the primary gear for early 850 with oil feed to bushes. I don't know if it can be run dry like the later primary gears.

If so it won't fit your crank, the oil fed 850 crank nose is 1-3/8" not 1-1/2" like all 998 and 1098.
If run dry it would seize, its bushes need oil.
