Hi there

Just thought I would share my latest build. Rolled out of the shed for the first time since paint.
Always liked the miglia look. What do you guys think of the look?

Cheers
Rick

Thanks - Debeers 2k direct gloss. Workquip conventional gun @ 40PSI. 1.4mm tip. Colour sanded and buffed with Farecla G3 liquid (white pad then black pad). Will swirl remove on completion but can't really see any swirls as is. (Maguires swirl remover will be used)

Full Debeers system - Epoxy - High Fill - Direct Gloss - No clear
(3M platinum filler skim coat)

Thanks guys. My original intention was full on mk2 S replica (i have all the required bits) and you can see the diagonal support behind the grill that is also original s but couldn't help myself and went tubbed miglia. Apart from the arches, wheels, adj suspension, weber and paint colour it will be all S. (I have all of the gear from a rusted mark 2).

cheers
Rick

Hey Rick,

I hope the rusted MKII is on the Cooper S register  :D

Cheers, Mick

G'day Mick

I doubt it. It was scrapped by the guy that I brought the guts from. He did try to sell me the compliance plate + fire wall stamping cutout piece + radiator shroud cutout + diag grill support but I was not interested in doing a full reshell/reberthing dodgy.
I am happy to call it a deluxe with cooper s goodies, that way everything is transparent.
I did also buy this deluxe shell from the same guy. It was a deceased estate for his brother but he has also since died. I managed the sale of all of the stockpiled mini parts that were in the estate so got first pick at a lifetimes worth of mini accumulation. The man was an ex BMC factory worker at Zetland and also had his own mini wreckers so there were some real jems.

cheers
Rick

Thanks Rick...I was suggesting that it would be nice to have the compliance plate + fire wall stamping cutout piece + radiator shroud cutout NUMBERS on the register, with a note as to its demise...for later when it miraculously might rise from the ashes!! :!:

Ok, no worries. They slipped through then. I believe they were sold in the second deceased estate only a few weeks ago so may still pop up somewhere unfortunately.
