Does anyone know of somebody in Adelaide (perhaps a member here...) that has experience stripping down and rebuilding a mini engine?
I've taken the valve block off my 850 and exposed a lot of rusty crud through all the water galleries, I'd want that all cleaned out properly I think.
And when I drained the sump, there was a lot of thick syrup that came out, I'm thinking it'd be best for someone with more experience to take it to bits and rebuild it.
Or what would the folks here suggest?

I've got a strong little 850 that you can basically have for nothing after I fit up the new 998. Just needs a new timing chain (it's a bit rattly). Only problem is I'm in Qld.

I'll let you know how it goes, I've decided not to rebuild but cleaned it up externally and painted it, I'll flush it with new oil until all the gunge is out.
If it doesn't look like cleaning up I'll flick you a PM!

don't swap the motor if the engine number matches the ID plate, you'll regret it later...

Rehmac motors do mini motors, they used to advertise in TME
