Ok I'm sure this is asked every few months but what tyres (165/70R10) are out there for the minis?
I've had a call around the local tyre shops and come up with Falkens or Yokohama, is their anything else?
Also what are people paying as well? So far I've found the yok's for $136-$155 and the Falkens are about $20 more expensive $145-$159.

I posted about the new Blockley tyre a few months ago. Not sure if it's available here directly yet. Probably a lot more expensive than the two you mentioned. I think they now have a 165x10 version.

Those prices look expensive.
Minisport SA has the Falkens listed at $99 each and standard Yokos at $125 each.
Cost of freight, fitting and balance would be covered by the savings on the Falkens, which are good as a road tyre (depending on what performance you are after).

I drive pretty hard so I need good grip, I have used Falkens in the past and they didn't seem to last much longer than the others plus they were a bit lower on grip.
I ordered some Aoo8's this arvo @ $136 each fitted and balanced.

Do they make A008’s anymore? They were a good tyre.

Yes they do, Yokohama have spread rumours for years they are or will be NLA but when you stump up the $$$ they mysteriously appear.

I need a pair soon to replace my (edit) 10 year old ones.. ;)
On special for $125 + freight from Mini Sport SA. But I will get Sydney quotes from Bob Jane etc.

it's $15 down here...

strong suggestion for you, ring Bob Jane in Albury and get a quote, it's been a couple of years but I paid ~$130 fitted and balanced. If you get a quote from Albury and go into another Bob Jane who want to charge more you can say "sharpen your pencil mate, another Bob Jane quoted me $x". They don't need to know that the other Bob Jane was 2000km away

Around here fit & ballance is about $20 each. So for me there isn't much savings to be had by buying just the tyre and then fitting it locally.
