For some time Minispares UK has been working on casting a new Cooper S thick flange block. Below are pictures of the prototype cast in alloy and used to check the patterns. Apparently the production version will be traditional cast iron. The block will be on display at IMM in Bristol this weekend. They look to be very well made with all markings. But i might have to sell my house to afford one. |

If it was alloy it wouldn’t be allowed for historic racing, which is one place people have big pockets for engine building |
