Hi all,

I have been on the hunt for driving light mounting bracket, but it seems that I have NFI what im actually looking for..

I have had the image below saved to my phone for years as a bit of inspiration for my own car & I really like how the middle 2 lights sits slightly higher than the outer 2.

If know the name or style of this bracket my google search history would appreciate having a rest.

Also if you have driving lights mounted on your roundnose I'd love to see pics!

Thanks mate, yeh I have seen those ones on mini spares but they apparently don't fit with the overriders, so guessing it not those ones on this car..

Here's the light bar I made, it used thick plate bolted to the subframe and comes up through the grill, the centre support you can see that goes around the bumper adds a lot to the stability. I didn't like how most of the similar light bars available needed holes drilled in the front.

I have made a 'factory style' bar and brackets similar to "fuzzy-hair-man": bolts to subframe, under grill, no holes in stone tray.

Have also made a modified version with just the brackets bolted to the subframe, under the grill and resting on the bumper bar. Again, no holes in the bodywork.

NSW Police mounted most driving lights directly on the panel behind the bumper. To improve rigidity and hence lessen vibration a large washer welded to some threaded tube was installed in each hole, with the Hella driving light stem in the middle.

Here's the setup I run on my roundie van. I picked up the vertical brackets from a mate years ago so no idea who made them originally but they mount off the bottom valance and the bonnet slam panel. I then made up a cross bar for the centre two lights. Everything is mounted nice and solidly and having the driving lights up slightly higher gives a good bit of range and spread at night.
