Have you got disc brakes and the dust shields on them? If you get a small rock caught between them it makes an awful noise

Perhaps too much toe out. When you brake the bushes deflect and you get more toe out and more noise.
Try adjusting the tie rods on the steering rack a couple of mm each side to reduce the toe.
If it’s reduced or gone , happy days.
If it’s worse, adjust the other way.
