Hi all, just something I’ve noticed looking for pistons for a new build is that a lot of suppliers (particularly in th uk) offer just about all the normal sizes, then jump from 1330 to 1380?? Skipping the 1360 size- (which is what I was thinking of going to)
Just wondering why this is?

Most 1360 pistons (73.0mm) here are made in Taiwan. Both Hypatecs and Russell Engineering (not same product).
UK sourced pistons are other brands.

Also, Russell Engineering have a 72.5mm, which is uncommon elsewhere. Gives around 1352? cc. Saves going all the way up to 1360 from a 1330.

Is it easy to source rings for that size?

Graham has 72.5 Nippon? rings. Unlike Hypatecs, they are metric width not imperial.

Sorry Kev, my mini is old not metric. They probably would be good for a Rover mini.

Putting Triumph pistons in was once a popular upgrade which resulted in 1387 IIRC.
