I've recently been restoring a 1965 Morris Mini Deluxe and it came with original Hemco seatbelts. They are in good condition, yet I can't find any of them on the internet. I was just wondering if anyone knew a rough valuation of these due to their rarity.

Thanks, Luke

The Hemco belts are an aftermarket item probably fitted by a previous owner. Britax were the major supplier to BMC at the time.

Putting a price on second-hand belts from 50 years ago is problematical as they are a safety item. If they were BMC issued with the rosette label on the buckle then they would be sought after by those wanting to have them refurbished, otherwise of moderate value in current condition in my view.

The only Mini from that era fitted with seat belts as standard was the Cooper S.
