Hi all,

I have a 64 850, the boot lid has been replaced at some point in it's 55yrs with a boot lid from a 1965 Deluxe.

Will the original 850 badging fit in the deluxe badging holes? If not, can some one please post a pic of the original boot lid from a 1964 850..

From my understanding the 64 had the Australian spec number plate flap rather than the English version..

Thanks in advance

are you sure that it was replaced? I'm the second owner of an original 64 and it has the small number plate flap.

The deluxe has Morris Mini Deluxe badging. The holes do not line up with Morris 850

The change from the wide UK style to the narrow Aussie style happened during 1964, so depending on the date of the car it could have either (change around car 51000)

If it helps, here is the tech drawing for the Aussie Boot Badge holes for the Morris 850 - courtesy of Winabbey.

I put my badge on with good quality double sided tape. Hasn’t looked like falling off and no holes required.
