Hi All,
Its been a while, I had my mini sitting in the shed for 10+ years and now Ive decided to get it going again (maybe needing some more advice soon) and give it a paint.

So upon removing the engine and using a wire brush on the grinder to remove the paint in the engine bay and surrounds I have come across some rust (as per pic below) in the sill below the headlights, would it be best to cut this out, make a new one and replace or is there a more simple way to consider?

The sill metal is very thin in places all the way across but the drivers side is the worst.

If you have the skill cut it out, make a new piece first. Make it look original .1mm steel
