Finally decided to move the ignition coil where it belongs. However if I mount it where it should be the bottom is touching the connections and cover of the alternator unless I mount it way up high where the bracket for it is at the very bottom of the coil itself. There must be something odd the way it mounts with my coil and bracket. Can anyone see what is wrong?

Can you post some clearer photos Mate.
It is very hard ts see what is going on there with those photos.
However the coil does have to sit high enough to just clear the alternator. It is all a pretty tight fit
Show us some clear photos of your brackets and as much detail as you can.

This is a later set of instructions that I think are a bit easier to follow.

I think you have the wrong coil bracket. It needs to be a single bolt hole / offset bracket style.

I just googled images of coil brackets and there are quite a few. Try Mustang coil bracket. Are there any speed shops in Guam?

You can also just bend the one you have and just use the single bolt hole.

Ford Econoline, Ford F150, etc.

No you can't, it won't provide the required offset.
