Hi I need to replace the tyres on Minilite 10x5" wheels. Is there many options for tyres and how wide can you go on the 5'' wheels.

Yokohama A008 - 165/70R10 are pretty much the best road tyre in terms of grip, cost and durability. Any decent tyre shop can order them in for you

There are other options listed here

+ 1 Agree with Timmy201

- I have found Yokohama A-008 165/70/10 a great all round tyre with regards to grip level and durability,

another option is the Yokohama A-032R 165/70/10 has a higher grip performance in wet and dry but wear faster,

I'm sure there are many other tyre options for mini 10" for classic looks, lower purchase cost and lots of opinions, but for my money the Yokohama A-008 is the tyre I'd buy,

Cheers

Chris

Falken FK07E 165/70-10 are wider tread but they don't handle or grip like Yokos, wet or dry.
Might still be cheaper. Last forever they are so hard.

I ran them years ago but couldn't get traction with a warm 1310S. So I went for Yokohama A008s.

I couldn't get traction with a stock 998 on the Falkens

I got done off the line by a stock non sporty corolla in the dry back then. They looked tuff but had to go.

I will be going the Yokohama A-032R route on 5's I like grip and a slightly shorter life span is not really a concern.

Yep I find them heaps better than the a008 in terms of grip.
