I contacted Stedi today and they informed me that the LED headlights are polarity sensitive and therefore can’t be used with positive earth vehicles.

If you run the LED +ve side to ground and -ve side to your switch/relay it should work with a +ve earth car.

Yes, and you are right. You just need to be certain that the exposed metal surfaces(which will be used as heat sinks) do not share a common with the ground wire. Something easy in the hand to check, but harder over the internet. perhaps ask convertiblemini.

Mount them up in plastic headlamp buckets? Not much airflow to the heatsinks though...
At least you could decide your earth.
