it's funny isn't it... they wanted to hide them, we're desperate to find them

What years did BMC/Leyland run the gold and black foil Balm Paint sticker above as I am thinking I need to have several made up.

The gold black colour foil was used on early and late stickers. The design is the big issue - trying to match the correct sticker for your cars build date. I have gone through my Crystal white stickers and the date range of the cars they were fitted to. This will give you a rough idea of what sticker to use. I am missing the 1975 stickers.

1. Crystal White 11572 Balm, 4-69 to 10-69
2. Crystal White 566-11572 Balm, 11-69 to 6-70
3. Crystal White BMC HM5919 Berger, 4-71 to 12-72
4. Chrystal White Leyland HM5919 Berger, 7-73 to 9-74
5. Crystal White 566-11572 Dulux, 12-75 to 9-78

Perhaps I am mistaken here but is that sticker the only thing that identifies the original colour of the mini?
How is original colour checked if the sticker is gone and it’s a good spray job

The MK1 range had their colour listed on the ID plate. But the MK2, Clubman and Leyland minis used stickers.

There are colour charts that show the colours used each year. However they may overlap with the year before and after. And there can also be special order cars. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=66469&p=769755

The original paint can be hidden under the ADR plate or carpet and vinyl which was glued on. If the car had a bare metal respray then you would need to find previous owners or old rego papers and hope they have a colour listed.
