 Post subject: Heat issues?

Hi all, I have a 67 Cooper S. Does anyone have any ideas as to why, when the car has been run, it is hard to get into gear and also stalls when I stop (2 separate issues)? Both issues only happen when the car has been run for a while not when cold i.e. just started. Thanks.
