Helping in restoration of late 1970 Cooper S. The switch panel is a little different as the washer pump is in the hole closest to the steering column and there is then a seperate bracket for the choke (similar to a Clubman choke) to the right and between the switch panel and the column. Two questions. The hole on the right for the washer is much larger than the hole on the left for the heater control. Is there a reason? And second question, is there anywhere you can get the Clubman type choke cables and T piece end? Cheers. |

Does the car have the Beehive Heater fitted? They were fitted to a few cars between Oct and Dec 1970. Here is a layout of the switches and cables. Attachment: Heater Switch AYK9502 Beehive Heater Smiths R230.jpg

Thanks all, very helpful. The car does have the bee hive heater. Can anyone help with the details of the chrome trim that was around the heater knobon the left side and the similar on the right for the washer. We have two switch panels. One with smaller holes on the left and right extremes and one with a much larger hole on the right side. One is a much darker grey. Cheers. |

Are you chasing the bezel that went between the Knob and panel? There are a few people chasing them and they don't come up on any parts lists. Second hand only I would say or perhaps someone will spin up a few on the lathe. Attachment: Choke Cable Bezel.JPG

Was chasing a bezel and had to buy the complete used cable assembly to get it so I have a spare cable for the future..... |
