Post subject: | Extra Rear light wire? |
Hi All, I am trying to sort out the wiring of my rear lights (clubman) and have found I have an extra wire not in the wiring diagrams. I have 2 wires (Red/Green and Green/Purple) going to the tail/brake lights as normal. And I have both indicators working. My issue is that the indicator lights have 2 connections and an extra wire (green/brown) that goes to both. This wire is not in the diagrams so was wondering what its for? It also seems to be on all the time, maybe its reverse lights with a broken switch? Thanks |

Reversing lights. Remote shift Clubman has a switch on the gearbox, below the oil filter. on a rodchange Clubman the switch is on the shifter box below gear lever. |

Thanks! Perhaps I have a faulty reverse switch then at its not releasing (lights always on). Found it on the weekend, will pull it out and check it out when I get the chance. |

Pull the wires off the switch and see if the lights extinguish, then you'll know if it's a faulty switch. Rod change replacement is inexpensive, remote harder to get - https://minisport.com.au/mini-leyland-r ... ght-switch |
