Evening all. I am piecing together a 1972 Clubman GT and all is going along nicely except the wiper motor!
Have pulled it to bits, cleaned it and it now runs well on both speeds.
The timing /contact ring on the back of the large cog is well worn and I would like to replace it.
The drive plate on the front of the large cog is marked 32T. 105 degrees. Is this the correct plate for left hand park?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated , thanks.

I believe the 105 degree drive plate is correct. They dropped down from 110 deg to 105 deg in mid 1970.

If you are willing to "ring a friend" try Tony Buttigieg trading as "Auto Electrics On Wheels". Highly recommended. He will supply parts for mini 2 speed wiper motors, give advice or rebuild one for you.

Ignore the bits that are not relevant to wiper motors

The first of the Lucas Australia round body wiper motors had a 110deg drive plate but this had to be changed to a 105deg plate to prevent the RHS wiper arm from hitting the windscreen rubber on the RH edge of the wind screen.
My 68 build S still has the 110 deg drive plate but the windscreen rubber (still original) now has a piece worn away where the blade used to hit the rubber.

Thanks for that Plug Bill. I have heaps of the Contact finger plates in stock. I also have the Contact disk made in Stainless steel so will never rust again.
