Just saw a brilliant original 1980's MacGyver episode.
He escapes with a group of overalled gypsies from Eastern Europe in three Minis; red white and blue of course. He starts a traffic jam by interfering with the traffic lights and is chased by lots of "Russian" cars made under licence from Fiat.
Mac is so good that he even had time to change the spot lights after driving through the sewage tunnel.
Don't worry if you missed it; I am sure that it will come around in another repeat very soon.

He didn't just rip off the plot; his Minis were red, white and blue so that they could rip off most of the "chase" scenes as well.
His Minis were cut into classic scenes from the movie including the stairs, floor polisher, underground, rooftop oval, THE JUMP, hiding in the Innocentis, the tunnel, the causeway and even the chicken scene.
I know..... I was disppointed too. Another foreign classic TV show icon that isn't as good as I thought. At least us Aussies know that Skippy was the real deal.

Who would have thought that scrip writers would steal stories?
It would never have happened in Shakespeare's day.............

Yep...but its all been done before, so they just keep going over old ground and make re-releases of successful films over and over again...
