Is the red one a replica? Chassis 5080 on an early body.

concerned how someone could tell what the body number is from this photo,, if your correct in what you ask ,, are people now taking it upon themselves to open bonnets and lift insulation unaware to the owner

I have photos of this car showing the number plate and the rego check says chassis 5080.

It has the early wiper scuttle and the bonnet stay is mounted closer to the front.

That would indicate the body is pre chassis 2600 if it is a genuine Cooper S.

A while back I messaged the owner if he would like to add his car to the Cooper S register but did not get a response.

I have placed it into the replica folder now.

You also have to assume the car is correctly registered... when my car was changed to historic rego they used the engine number as the VIN/Chassis number. I can claim to be (possibly) the only mini with a 9YATAH-##### body prefix!
