I'm in the middle of a Vtec conversion and having trouble with the Alt setup. Anyone have experience with where to best locate it?

The poster on my office wall facing me has the alternator mounted low in front of the engine to the left. Only just above crank height.

But then it has a f'glass clubbie flip front end.

a popular route seems to be on the 'other' side of the fan belt, under the mudguard. running in the opposite direction to normal (which doesn't matter of course)
