Well i have found out that the guy that does the rotory into mini conversions is still around. His name is doug and hes number is 0438 759 674.
He uses a 13b single rotor mated to a mitsubishi cordia gearbox. I have been given this info from a friend of his off the ausrotory forums. He states the reason why single rotors are used is cause you get ample reliability and power and revs... who needs torque when you have 15.000 revs to play with..
and also, cause the standard endplates are used, then you have a water pump and oil pump that are meant for two rotors, so ample cooling and lubrication aswell, reliability comes form the fact that a shorter "crankshaft" is used, so less flex and more revs!!
So if anyone is seriously looking at doing a rotor conversion then give give him a call and he will be more than happy to answer all questions about all aspects...
and get as much info as possible.
