Well guys, finally finished the exhaust which I thought would never be finished. So on Tuesday it went out to M&A engineering to get the driveshafts made up. No word yet so probably next week. Also got the loom out of the car last night so things are starting to move again...

Mano, yeah the 1200F stuff. It was mainly to stop it rusting. I left the dumpipe sitting on the bench for a week and it started getting a oxide sheen...Oh well good enough for the mo...

did you pinch the pipe to suit the flanges?

Not sure what you mean by pinch. The flanges I got from my local exhaust place fitted snuggly over the OD of the 2.5" pipe so basically butt welded them in place. Does the job...

sort of bell mouth to suit the flange.
It just looked like you needed to go from round to rectangleish...

Nah Mano, ended up doing a cut to try and get a better angle to the other flange and ended up not needing ( :x ) it. That kind of makes the pipe look a bit funny but she's perfectly round all the way...

Cheap way to save your dump pipe from oxidising:

clean back to bare metal
brush on gp grease
take out for a really heavy drive.

Burns the grease into a hard black layer that slows rusting

similar to a BBQ hotplate

Besser I will take that on board, and if I am by the side of the road and want a steak I'll be away. As for the muffler I went a Lukey Straight thru twin exit. This thing really is straight through, hopefully it is quiet enough because I no longer have the cat... 8). But you're right Brad mate hopefully it will sound great...Also got the loom out of the halfcut last night, it looks like black spaghetti...Also does anyone know what these are?

Not fully sure but looks like some sort of fuel cut defender knocks out the speed limiter and over boost if they are wired into the ecu loom.

That's what I was thinking. Def look aftermarket. Trace where they are connected to. Not exactly sure how the FCD's work but they are wired to the ECU. If they are FCD's and over boost cut put em in your thing. If you aren't running an aftermarket ECU that is.

Might be an idea to post on http://www.australetclub.com.au and see if anyone over there knows what they are..

Yeah well done guys that's what I thought. I'll trace them back and see if they lead to the ECU. At this stage will run standard ECU, budget doesn't go that far. Yeah Bungholio I will run it on Austarlet and see if I can get more info.

Cheers
