What have you got in mind, front mounted motor/rwd or rear/mid mounted motor rwd?

Main concern with front mounted motor/rwd is the steering rack. There will need to be some thought put into a solution.

Where are you in Mackay? I did a stint up there for a little while, lived in Eimeo.

Are you putting a full chassis under it or reinforcing the shell ? You might want to keep the genuine gt and get another shell to convert , the value of GT's is rapidly increasing . Considerring the amount of work you'll be doing and the small proportion of the original car you'll be using a base model clubman may be a better starting point . If you do go ahead with converting a genuine GT to rwd than I hope you're prepared for the abuse from mini purists . I'd love to see someone do this sort of conversion , but maybe on a different mini .

True , but if we can find a home for the cars the money from them will help a long way towards the conversion of another shell . Especially with the publicity GT's have been getting from certain members of late , be a shame to miss the chance of cashing in a valuable car .

I agree. But lets not divert his attention away from what he is trying to achieve (and here to discuss).

Yea thats 100% truth in that statement mate. I'd be interested, I know plenty more would be too in "cashing in".
