Dan, mate nice effort looks beautiful. I have mine out of the car at the moment as I am putting in a Exedy HD clutch plus the water pump. I can't remember but you are running a log manifold and then over the back aren't you? My only reason for asking is that you front bar seems to block you running the exhaust through the normal route.

Cheers

Matt

With all that gear in your boot, do u have an electronic water pump or is it just the
surge gear for the turbo???

Matt,

The exhaust runs down the front under the bellhousing and then down the tunnel. With the stock intake manifold i did not think i would get the exhaust at the back.

Notice that the number plate tends to hide the exhaust where it crosses under the bellhousing.

Monkey,

At the moment i am only running a standard water pump, not sure how it will go as i have heard that they push only a small volume of water around.

Well i've been busting my arse trying to get the mini finished before minis downunder. Here are some pics from last night.

I won't be doing anymore on it for the next week and a half because we have visitors coming from Italy.

Thanks for the positive feed back.

I also think everybody on this forum that is/has undertaken a conversion deserves a pat on the back. Car manufacturers spend millions in R&D to produce the everyday cars that we drive. They have literally hundreds of people working on each new model etc etc.

All of us here are weekend warriors with a passion, we spend many hours trying to figure out our plan of attack, followed by many more hours in the execution stage. Many of us put our own spin on our conversions and build them to suit our requirements.

I reiterate a pat on the back for all who have or are undertaking a conversion

Dan

Dan the man, that is just so neat, and I mean that in the best possible way. It looks factory spec, the log manifold, the link up to the turbo, everything. As said previously you will win show and shines with that kind of "quality". You will have bring it down when it is done...

Cheers

M
