Brad / Gordo,

That went straight over my head :oops:

willy,

Don't know about the colour of the carpet but i think it was a tru fit carpet made in SA, it came with the car. Tru fit does not mean that it actually is a true fit.

It is looking great!

The carpet is actually "Exact Fit" and no there carpets dont fit exactly but are cheap and look reasonably good.

I know Aussie and myself have them in our clubbies.

Keep up the good work

Matt

Yes and No.

The engineer came over and cheked it out and wants the following done:

* Air filter box in lieu of sock
* Heat wrap the exhaust manifold and the dump pipe
* Heat sheild over turbo
* Make a cover over my fuel pumps :cry:
* Label my switches :cry:
* Install the seat belts

He checked everything else and seemed happy, didn't pick on the subframe or the mountings, he pointed out one oridinary weld on the rear crossbrace but didn't seem to fussed about it afterwards.

He gave me a run down of what to do with the rear seatbelt mounts so i'll install them myself now and he will certify the installation. The proposed bonnet scoope was approved.

Cheked the rad, adjustable camber castor on the front and was happy, exhaust was ok.

So all in all i have a few more hurdles to jump many of which i would have done anyway.

Also gave me a run down of whats happening with the new rules, there won't be any because most of the RTA people associated with this stuff were made redundant last week so ther will be no one to follow it through :D

Gordo,

Yeah i raised it around 25mm but i will have to install my Hi-Lo's if they knock me back at blue slip time. The rear sway bar is the caus of all the probs.

Saw the van at Mr Enforcer's on Saturday, Will be one mean van when it is finished.

Jsoh,

Have been a bit slow in getting things done as i have been busy with work, kids parties and the festive season in general.

I got under the car on the weekend and tried to fix the exhaust leak. Had some issues with a bolt so decided to get the grinder out and cut it off, as i was finishing cutting the bolt (sparks flying everywhere) i noticed fuel start pissing out of the fuel lines. I was out from under the car in under a second i don't think i have moved that fast for in all my life.

Lucky no fire :o , unlucky return fuel line had a hole in it. I packed up and left it alone :evil:

Last night i fixed the leak. :)

* Installed two fans for the demister as required by the engineer.
* Just purchased some LED's so i can build in parklights into the indicator light, i now have orange indicator globes, as requested by the engineer.
* Fixed the fuel gauge
* Purchased the seat belts
* Purchased the heat wrap for manifolds

How did you go with the shafts??

Well now that the festive season is over its back to work and i thought i would post some photos of where i was up to.

Exhaust wrap and heat sheild over turbo as requested by engineer, only have the filter box to make and mount and the engine bay is finished.

Interior finished.

Scoop for bonnet started ( I hate body work) and hopefully will be finished in a couple of weeks.

Then all i have to do is paint the bonnet and the front of the car and fit the sliding windows.

ALMOST THERE :lol: :lol:
