Dan, are you sticking with the mini steering column?

I dont think i am going to. Just need to organise one and then eventually get around to doing it. I want to have most of the controls at the wheel like the wipers and lights

Dan,

Starlet column replacement isn't that hard, just takes time.

Mind you, you will have to alter the brake and clutch pedals to suit.

If you just want the switchgear cluster, do what Brad did, and graft the backing plate from the Starlet onto the Mini column.

Cheers,
Tricky

So i finally got the car back today.. The exhaust is much better the second time round.... More expensive but better. Made out of 3inch stainless steel and the dump and exhaust manifold have been ceramic coated

I had those types of mounts on my exhaust and I found their was'nt enough flex. The metal strap from the exhaust to those mounts snaped
see how you go but be mindful you don't want an expensive exhaust like that snapping off.
Also is'nt stainless more brital(spelling)?

Kenno,

"Brittle"

The mounts are rubber mounted, so cant see a problem really.

Its one purposeful looking system alright!

Err, no!

I have already sent to you the design for our manifolds, which you have agreed.

Dont be naughty!

The system looks good, but i too think the mounts look a little weak (the rear and centre look very close to the standard rubber mini mounts and i've seen too many of them break...

The front bar of the body kit sits lower than the intercooler, and i have a hydraulic suspension setup to solve the hieght issues... Ok so maby the reasoning for getting the hydraulic setup was a little different. I wanted to be able to sit it on the ground. Just so happens i get to kill two birds with one stone...

The mounts are in the same place the standard mounts are, i think... There wasnt really anyother option of mounting it without it looking crap. I wanted to keep it neat and anything that was a bigger and stronger looking mount would have just looked out of place. It shouldnt scrub out on anything (hopefuly) if it does i think ill cry, so the only movement will be from the car bouncing as i drive it along. Ill just have to try to avoid speed humps and jack the car right up when i have to go over them

in regards to the hydraulics....have you checked up on the legality of them? i didnt think you could use em legally in australia, only airbags...could be completely wrong though as it was just from word of mouth no substantial evidence. dont wanna stir up an argument, just curious, could be a cool mod :)
