What are the differences between a late model UK subframe (say 1996) and the subframe in the Aussie minis?
Can you modify a UK subframe to fit to a, say 1969 Aussie Mini?

A 1969 Aussie frame would be twin bolts/studs per side on the top, and made for hydro suspension

A 1996 UK frame would be a single bolt and dry suspension

And the rear mount points to the floor are designed for a rubber mount on the late model and the front mount points are also designed for tear drop rubber mounts.
some modification would be required to the body where the towers mount because the late model subframe has only one very large bolt on either side....easier to get an aussie subframe and not modify the body

The big holes they used for the tower bolts are there - same hole used for the cone compressor and hydro pipes..

but using a late subframe is going backwards - solid mounted subframes are the way to go
