Small update,

The shell is all primed and ready for painter. The mini is now rolling with all brakes and suspension fitted, just need to space the front wheels out a few mm. After the shell is painted then time for assembly and wiring.

NOTE: wheels are 14x6, tyres are 195/40/14 :D

Those wheels will need engineering approval, correct?

That looks sweeeet. The wheels look really good on it and the motor seems at home in the engine bay.
I was also looking into using one of these motors a few years ago but couldn't find one at the time so went for the Sirion Gtvi motor still underway.
There are a few Minis running around in Tas with 15" wheels with 165/45 tyres.

wow 15's  , rolling diameter of them will be around 530mm, my 14" tyres are 511mm rolling diameter very close to the 13" tyres every one runs.

I think when josh (mini_mad) was running his race tyres in 12" they were 540mm and needed some rear trailing arm surgery but just fit.

Alot more wheel choices in 14 and 15 inch, plus my car has been changed to 100 pcd makes life easier.

I like the drivers seat :)

The donk looks at home there, very nice.

What are those guards? Where'd you get them from and will they fit the Clubman?

Good idea for the stud conversion. I was going to go the same way but ended up buying some 13" superlights. So what brand are the tyres you are using and where did you get them from?? Looks like a pretty good option if the tyres are reasonably priced.
Do you have a time frame in mind for finishing it off?
Again, Awesome car.....

looks really really neat Brad - I normally don't like big wheels, but they look great

just normal 'innocenti' type plastic flares - something like $120 a set usually

More like $75 a set new. If you pay more you are being ripped off.
